Dianbo RuanNingbo CRRC New Energy Technology Co., LTD.
Dianbo Ruan holds a PhD degree in Engineeing, and is currently Chief Engineer and Dean at Ningbo CRRC New Technology CO., LTD. He is a managing director of China Innovation Alliance of the Graphene Industry, a deputy secretary general of China Electronics Standardization Association of Supercapacitor.
He researches the key electrode material, engineering and application technologies. Recently, the highest capacity 2.7V/7500F, 2.7V/9500F, 3.0V/12000F, 2.8V/30000F supercapacitor products have been commercially produced and creatively using the power as the main power for the public transit system.
He has been honored one National technical invention, four times Provincial prize and Provincial technological achievements appraisal. Meantime, he has presided “Project 863”(China), major scientific and technological project at Ningbo (China),, Technology Innovation Program in CSR zhuzhou electric locomotive co., LTD; Drafted three type of Supercapacitor Industrial Standard; Published more than 30 papers, 12 Authorized invention patent and 8 International PCT patent.

Abstract
1.With the development of social public transit system, the “Fuel type” bus and “catenary-type” tramcar have been regarded as one of most pollution resources for the environment, therefore, to be “Pure Electric” and “Energy storage type” has been the used as necessary step for green and energy saving method change. That means the energy storage devices play the key role among the new technical tendency. By its long cycle life, high safety property and broaden temperature advantages, supercapacitor has been regarded as one of the most important parts for “Green” and “Intelligent” type public transit system. Combined with the new energy storage materials, electrode production and structure design ideas, CRRCcap has successfully produced 2.7V/7500F, 7V/9500F,3.0V/12000F, 2.8V/30000F and other graphene-based supercapacitors, the cell’s energy density have been improved from 7Wh/kg to 20Wh/kg. Meantime, those products have been creatively applied in energy storage type tramcar, trolleybus, petroleum drilling, diesel locomotive, hybrid electric bus and so on.
2.As a high specific surface area, excellent conductivity and crystallinity materials, graphene has been regarded as one of the most important materials for supercapacitor, Lithium ion battery, Lithium sulfur battery and other energy storage devices. Due to the limitation on energy density, power density and cycle life properties, graphene has been thought as one of the most excellent materials for supercapacitors’electrochemical improvement. In this paper, the electrochemical performance of manufacture technologies (Drying method orWetting method), graphene’s adding amount, activated carbon and graphene’s structure have been discussed, and obtained the most optimum conditions for graphene based supercapacitors. Besides, the most critical technology has been reported during the whole graphene based supercapacitor’s manufacture.
3.With the rising of flash-charging and energy storage type of tramcar and trolleybus, as one of the most important component, the graphene-based supercapacitors will embrace a rapid increasingtime. Considering of the most critical parts for graphene based supercapacitors, graphene and its composite will receive a new rising period on new energy market. The high single layer, high purity, excellent conductivity, small size’s graphene based conductive agent and high degree of crystallinity, low surface function group graphene powders will exhibit their broaden application market on supercapacitor industry.
