On September 1-3, 2014, China Innovation Alliance of the Graphene Industry successfully hosted the first International Graphene Innovation Conference (GRAPCHINA 2014) at Sheraton Ningbo Hotel. This conference was co-organized by Phantoms Foundation from Spain and Ningbo Municipal People's Government. As the largest and most comprehensive event for graphene industry, it focused on the graphene application progress in various fields and attracted over 30 exhibitors, 1000 participants, and 400 enterprises including 40 public companies from 30 countries around the world. In addition, over hundred elites from investment community and related industries actively participated in the conference.
GRAPCHINA 2014, focusing on the fundamental research and application of graphene and related materials, set over 30 parallel symposia including hot topics, like lithium-ion battery, solar cell, fuel cell, composite materials, etc. More than 180 speakers from EU Graphene Flagship projects, US universities, Asia institutes and companies shared their research results or industry experience. The symposia provided a valuable opportunity for industry players to discuss the current challenges and possible solutions. GRAPCHINA 2014 also offered platform for industry leaders to set-up and foster global cooperation relationship, to explore the possibilities of projects investment, technology exchange, and collaborative development.
In addition, GRAPCHINA 2014 built a successful exhibition to all the attendees. Graphene related companies from home and abroad exhibited their latest products or devices during the three-day conference and exhibition. Based on the feedback from the conference, the exhibitors had reached their purposes of maintaining and expanding customer relationships, build prospect databases, and enhancing brand image.
As an ultimate meeting platform for sharing and exchanging experience, GRAPCHINA has become a commercial and academic event that gathers approximately 1000 representatives for all stakeholders involved in this debate, bringing top level speakers and delegates from the upstream and downstream industries, NGOs and academia together with senior policy makers from the EU‘s flagship program and national government. They will continue the discussion on recent developments and researching trends, commercial solutions and latest technologies.
CGIA supports members to focus on application and industry chain, to keep pace with market development, to guarantee industry interests by involving in policy making and establishing standards, and to build long-term cooperation with up-down stream enterprises all over the world.
