Yanwu Zhu, professor and doctoral supervisor, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of science and technology of China. In 2000, he obtained a bachelor's degree from the Department of Applied Physics of the University of Defense Science and technology; in 2003, he received a master's degree in condensed matter physics from the school of physics of Peking University; and in 2007, he received a doctor's degree in physics from the National University of Singapore. He has carried out postdoctoral research in the National University of Singapore and the University of Texas at Austin. In recent years, more systematic research has been carried out in the preparation of new carbon materials and their application in energy storage and conversion. More than 160 papers have been published in science, advanced materials and other academic journals, with more than 30000 citations, of which the highest single citation is more than 4000 times. In 2013, he was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
