The investigations of several polymer-graphene nanoplatelets composite materials is reported. Firstly, low density graphene aerogel composites have been fabricated by the freeze drying with the several loadings of polymers additives. Incorporation of polyvinyl alcohol and polyoxyethylene polymer additives improves those composite aerogels mechanical stability, while also enhances of oils/water separation and adsorption properties due to tune-up of its wetting characteristics of hydrophilic /hydrophobic substances. These aerogel materials show also excellent EMI shielding features and conductivity. Secondly, several polymer matrices, i.e. ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, polybutylene succinate, epoxide resins, were belt/resin blended with small contents 0.1-3 wt.% of graphene nanoplatelets and its combinations with carbon nanotubes and iron oxide nanoparticles. Application of hybrid fillers into polymer matrices significantly improves the conductivity, dielectric properties, tensile and impact characteristics of the composite material. While the fabrication of laminate composite films with incorporated layers of graphene nanoparticle and its hybrid combinations can further enhance the dielectric and EMI properties of the composite material.
