HaihuaWang is a professor in College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. She also serves as vice dean of College of International Education,vice dean of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, and the leader of Functional Polymer Materials Group at Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. Her groupfocused on the development of new approaches for synthesis of environmental polymer nanocomposites. Currently, she works in Hersam Group at Northwestern University as a visiting professor. She published 32 authorized patents and more than 120 papers. She won lots of esteemed prizes including Top Youth Talent Title, the Outstanding Young Research Award in Chemistry, New Star Awardon Youth Science and Technology from Shaanxi Province, the First Prize of Provincial Science and Technology Award, and the Second Prize of Provincial Patent Award. She has conducted more than 20 projects until now and kept up with good collaborations with large-scale Chinese companies, including Chengdu Banknote Printing Company, Petro China Changqing Oilfield Company, Shaanxi Baotashan Paint Co. LTD, Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Co. LTD and so on. Many technologies which she invented have been successfully commercialized for the real industrial applications.
