Yang Yaoyao got the Bachelor degree from Donghua University in 2009, and in the autumn of the same year started her graduate course in the school of Materials Science and Engineering. She started her PhD project in Kawamura Institute of Chemical Research in Japan as an exchange student from 2011, completed her doctoral thesis and got the PhD degree in Material Science from Donghua University in 2014. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow in Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Her main research direction is the application of nanocomposite material in the field of catalysis. She has written a doctoral thesis “Fabrication and Characterization of the Porous Polymer Supported Palladium Nanoparticle Catalysts and Their Application in Heterogeneous Catalysis Systems”, published 3 papers in J. Mater. Chem. A, J. Phys. Chem. C, and other international journals, participated in some international conferences and learn annual meeting with verbal reports. 





Title:Graphene Quantum Dots Functionalized Gold Nanoparticles and Their Catalytic Abilities for the Oxidation of Hellebore Alcohol

Abstract

Using Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) functionalized gold nanoparticles (GQDs/AuNPs) as catalyst, hydrogen peroxide as oxidant, under different PH conditions and reaction time, the hellebore alcohol can be oxidized into hellebore aldehyde or hellebore acid with high activity and selectivity. However, GQDs/AuNPs show excellent dispersibility in aqueous solution which makes the recycle of catalyst be problem. In this work, the GQDs/AuNPs were further immobilized onto the prepared silicon dioxide by two methods of In-situ synthesis and physical adsorption dependently to get novel composites. It has been proved that the as-obtained composites can be used as heterogeneous catalysts for the oxidation of hellebore alcohol with comparable activity and better recycling ability of bare GQDs/AuNPs.
