Rizwan Ur Rehman holds PHD degree from School of Materials Science& Engineering, Tsinghua University,Beijing, China. Recently, he is working as a post doctorate fellow in Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China. His research mainly focuses on the fabrication and utilization of low dimensional carbon in nano-devices such as high performance anode material for lithium ion battery. In addition, his research interests consist of magneto transport properties of low dimensional carbon such as graphene, graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, etc. He was awarded outstanding oral presentation award in National Doctoral Academic Forum of UCAS-2014. He iseager to learn more and more.
Capacityfading of lithium ion batteries (LIBs) is a huge hurdle for their commercial utilization that may be reduced by the insertion of high quality anode material.[1, 2]Herein, high quality graphene foam (GF) was fabricated by using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and used as anode material, which can be helpful for minimizing the loss of specific capacity during electro chemical reactions. GF shows excellent results when employed as anode in LIBs with high capacity values of 497 mAhg-1 along with very low capacity fading(~0.00578% at a current density of 200 mAg-1-Fig. 1).[3]
