Abstract

In the talk I will show how ultrathin metals of a thickness ranging from 0.5 to 10 nm can be used to directly grow graphene on transparent substrates. Appropriate combinations of ultrathin metals, graphene and other transparent conducting materials have also been used to achieve transparent electrodes which have similar electro-optical performance as ITO and, at the same time, are mechanically flexible.
