As a 0D graphene ramification, graphene quantum dots (GQDs) have been demonstrated show stable and tunable photoluminescence properties. Based on the photoluminescence properties of GQDs and the IVD application of fluorochrome/fluorescin, diverse disease diagnostic techniques were developed using GQDs. However, the GQDs based disease diagnostic techniques development for clinical application requirements still in the face of difficulties.
Hence, in this report, we will firstly review the technological development of GQDs based disease diagnostic techniques. We also point out the key questions of the technological development of GQDs based disease diagnostic techniques. Finally, we introduce the work progress in GQDs based IVD techniques.
