Dr. Feiyu KANG, currently is a professor and deputy dean of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University.  He received Bachelor degree and Master degree from Tsinghua University and Ph.D from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.  His research interests are focused on nano carbon materials and graphene; graphite process and intercalation compounds; lithium ion battery; super-capacitors; fuel cell; thermal management as well as low carbon technology. More than 190 patents were successfully awarded and around 30 patents were transferred to industries. Up to now, more than 500 SCI papers with total citations are more than 50000 (current h-index is 125) have been published.

Title:New Carbon Materials Using for Future Energy
Symposium
Starting Time
Ending Time
Abstract

The development of renewable energy resources is closely related to carbon materials, such as electrochemical storage devices, fuel cells, high-temperature gas cooling reactors, and so on. In particular, carbon materials have been extensively used in all kinds of batteries including lithium-, sodium-, potassium- and zinc-ion battery, etc. Those successful applications of carbon materials are mainly attributed to the merits of microstructural diversity, low cost and extraordinary electrical and thermal conductivity.
